Mary MacGregor to Address ECW and DOK at General Convention

Mary MacGregor, director of leadership development for the Diocese of Texas will address both the national gatherings of the Daughters of the King and the diocesan presidents of the Episcopal Church Women this summer, in conjunction with the Episcopal Church’s General Convention in Anaheim, July 8-17.

MacGregor will challenge her audiences talking about what is unique about women leading women, especially in the Church. Other presentations are based on the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit. "I’m looking forward to being with these dynamic groups," MacGregor said. "It takes courage and a keen awareness to follow God’s direction for us," MacGregor said, adding, "I enjoy preparing presentations that will challenge women to see things in new ways and to change behaviors that hold them back from their full potential. These are significant times in the life of the church and a robust, hopeful and healthy response to the spirit working through us is called for."

  1. Mary MacGregor did an outstanding job of presenting her three talks on "The Sevenfold Gift of the Holy Spirit" at the DOK Triennial in Anaheim. I felt SO blessed to be from the Episcopal Diocese of Texas!

Another EDOT contribution: Sheila Gerth, DOK from Trinity, The Woodlands, was elected to the DOK National Council and was subsequently selected to serve as Secretary, giving her a role on the Executive Board.
